Congratulations on your Journal of Materials Chemistry C HOT Article!
The article titled 'Impact of solution temperature-dependent aggregation on the solid-state packing and electronic properties of polymers for organic photovoltaics' was selected as a Hot Article for 2018 and as such it has been included in the Hot Article 2018 web collection for Journal of Materials Chemistry C.
Xueli Hao is currently a Research Visiting Ph.D Student in Prof. Bredas group and mainly focuses on the electronic structure properties of two-dimensional covalent organic frameworks, in particular their magnetic properties. She received her B.S. degree in Physics from the Northeast Normal University in 2015. Then she was recommended for admission to Jilin University. In the summer of 2018, she became a Ph.D Student at Jilin University and her major is physical chemistry.
Grit Kupgan received his BS and MS in chemical engineering from Oklahoma State University. He later completed his PhD in materials science and engineering from the University of Florida under Prof. Coray Colina. During his PhD, Grit focused on the atomistic simulation of amorphous microporous polymers (e.g., hypercrosslinked polymers, polymers of intrinsic microporosity) for gas separation and storage applications.
Yidan Liu is currently a Research Visiting Ph.D Student in Prof. Bredas group and mainly focuses on the molecular design of thermally activated delayed fluorescence emitters. She received her B.S. degree in Materials Physics from the East China University of Science and Technology in 2015. And between 03/2015 and 08/2015, she was invited as an exchange student to work on her bachelor thesis in the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (Germany).
Qi received his Ph.D degree in school of chemistry and chemical engineering from Southeast University in 2010. In September 2018, he joined in Prof. Bredas group as a Research Scientist Visitor, and investigated the electronic, optical properties of two-dimensional perovskite systems.
Please welcome Hadi Abroshan and EK Cho to the Bredas Group.
Hadi Abroshan joins us as a Postdoctoral fellow. Hadi conducts research projects for computation-based design of new materials pertaining to organic electronics application with immense technological impacts, e.g., organic solar cells and organic light-emitting diodes.
Congratulations Qingqing Dai and Tonghui Wang. They welcomed Luyu Wang on May 17, 2018. Luyu is combination of Lu (鲁, a abbreviation of Shandong province, which is Qingqing hometown) and Yu (豫, a abbreviation of Henan province, which is Tonghui's hometown). Mom and baby are doing well.
Dandan delivered a healthy baby girl on March 29. Her name is Xi Chen (陈晞). Xi (晞) represents the dawn, sunshine and positive! This word comes from the oldest book of odes (诗经) in China.
Congratulations Dandan and Xiankai on your new bundle of joy!
